Thom Kieffer

Thomas Kieffer joined Prairie Trust in early 2020 and serves as a senior trust administrator for a wide range of trust and estate settlement clients. He has broad skills in wealth management, financial planning, business development, tax planning, and investment asset allocation management. Thom came to Prairie with over thirty years of trust, financial advisory and tax planning experience. Prior to moving back to Wisconsin, Thom served as senior vice president & chief trust officer for WNB Financial, NA in Winona, Minnesota where he oversaw all trust, planning and retirement plan services for more than two decades.

Thom earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota and holds Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Certified Trust & Financial Advisor (CTFA) designations in addition to being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He recently converted his status to inactive after 35 years of active CPA status and membership in the AICPA.

Thom and his wife are empty nesters currently residing in New Berlin and remains active in the community. He has lead efforts for decades to grow the sport of curling including chairing events on local, regional and national levels. Thom shares his time and talents at his church serving on Church Counsel, its Finance Committee and as its Treasurer.  In addition, he has served extended terms in leadership roles on several nonprofit boards including Boy Scouts of America, Habitat for Humanity, The National Exchange Club and Winona State University Foundation Board of Trustees.
